Issue: Access to SSC/SB services for youth ages 16 and over
A big thank you to all the parents who rallied to address the lack of services offered by their SSC/SB with regard to the graduation of youth aged 16 and over.

Thanks to your efforts, we were able to draw the attention of the Minister of Education. The Ministry is currently examining the situation, and we recently had a discussion with the DEM to make clear the issues facing educating families. A new directive should be announced shortly.
We are hoping for a positive outcome for our teens ! So, for the time being, there’s no need to contact your MPs on this subject. Thank you again for your actions in advancing this cause!
Reminder: Even if your children are no longer registered with the DEM because they are over 16, you can still contact the DEM via their general email ([email protected]) to share your challenges related to accessing SSC/SB services. The DEM is committed to collaborating, so don’t hesitate to keep us informed if you’re not receiving the support you need!
